This is part 3 of my “I am very sorry but my masters project is killing me please have some pictures of ants” series today. For part 1 and an explanation of what is going on please read this post. For the last instalment please read this one. Here we go.

To start today we have what I think may be Plectroctena mandibularis but I am not 100% sure.

The ant species in this area are really understudied. To me this looks like Solenopsis or Crematogaster but the queens of Solenopsis in this area are unknown to science.

Yet another Camponotus major that I am stuck on!

A beautiful Odontomachus worker showing off their solitary hunting style.

A gorgeous Camponotus worker is what we will finish with today.
Remember if you can help with the ID of these species please comment below or post on our Facebook page. I am sorry again that this post is a bit lacking compared to my normal posts. My Master’s Thesis is currently taking up all of my time and is eating me alive! For more information I highly suggest you read this post. Thanks,
Alex.
